1. Purpose
This policy applies to every testing request, account, shipment, sample, and report. It supplements the Terms of Analytical Services. If written sample instructions impose a stricter requirement, the stricter requirement controls.
2. Analytical material testing only
LabTrace performs analytical measurements on submitted material within an accepted scope. Testing is not a clinical service and does not determine whether a material is safe, effective, lawful, approved, sterile, authentic for every purpose, or fit for consumption or administration.
3. No human or veterinary administration
LabTrace does not authorize, recommend, facilitate, or evaluate ingestion, injection, implantation, inhalation, topical application, dosing, compounding, prescribing, or any other human or veterinary administration. A report must not be represented as medical clearance, prescribing support, a dose recommendation, or proof that administration is safe.
4. No diagnosis, treatment, or emergency testing
Do not use the service for diagnosis, treatment decisions, health assessment, toxicology emergencies, contamination emergencies, antidote selection, or time-critical release of material. If exposure, poisoning, or immediate danger is suspected, contact emergency services and the appropriate poison-control authority. Do not wait for LabTrace testing.
5. No human specimens or health information
Unless LabTrace has separately approved a specifically regulated program in writing, do not submit blood, tissue, bodily fluids, clinical specimens, patient samples, medical records, protected health information, or material linked to an identifiable person. The current website service is not a patient-testing program and does not return patient-specific clinical results.
6. Restricted and prohibited materials
Do not ship any of the following without explicit written preauthorization and compliant instructions:
- controlled substances or material suspected to contain them;
- infectious, biological, recombinant, or human-derived material;
- radioactive, explosive, pressurized, pyrophoric, highly toxic, or acutely reactive material;
- material requiring a license, permit, declaration, chain-of-custody control, or specialized carrier; or
- unknown material for which hazards cannot be reasonably characterized.
Preauthorization to discuss or receive a sample is not a statement that possession, transport, sale, or intended use is lawful.
7. Customer attestations
By submitting a request or sample, the Customer confirms that the Customer has lawful possession and authority, uses a lawful analytical purpose, has disclosed all known or suspected hazards and regulated status, and will follow packaging, labeling, carrier, import, export, and shipping requirements. The Customer must identify the material accurately even when requesting blind analysis; “blind” refers to the analytical target selection, not permission to conceal hazards or legal status.
8. Refusal, quarantine, notification, and disposition
LabTrace may refuse delivery, stop work, isolate or quarantine material, notify a carrier or authority, arrange qualified disposal, return a sample, or take other lawful safety action when information is incomplete, a shipment is noncompliant, or material creates an unacceptable risk. The Customer may be responsible for resulting costs where permitted by law.
9. Result limitations and permitted presentation
A report applies only to the tested sample or aliquot and the methods and reporting limits stated. Absence of a detected target does not prove universal absence. Purity, identity, amount, endotoxin, sterility, or another individual measurement does not by itself establish product safety, efficacy, regulatory compliance, batch uniformity, or suitability for administration.
Customers must not use the LabTrace name, logo, verification system, or report to imply endorsement, FDA approval, clinical validation, legal clearance, manufacturing certification, or authorization of a product or substance use.
10. Enforcement and questions
Violation may result in request refusal, account restriction, report qualification, suspension, termination, lawful record preservation, or other action permitted by the Terms and applicable law. Ask for written guidance through the contact page before sending any material whose status or hazard is uncertain.
